Affiliate Disclosure
How Kotor Travel earns from affiliate links to Booking.com, Viator, GetYourGuide, RentalCars, Skyscanner and Travelpayouts — at no extra cost to you, with editorial independence.
Last updated: 7 June 2026
Kotor Travel is reader-funded. This page explains, clearly and up front, how our affiliate relationships work. This is general information, not legal advice.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then book or buy on the partner’s site, we may earn a commission. This costs you nothing extra — you pay the same price you would have paid anyway. These commissions help keep the guide free and independent.
Who we partner with
We currently participate in affiliate programmes with, among others:
- Booking.com — hotels and other stays in Kotor and the Bay of Kotor.
- Viator — tours and activities.
- GetYourGuide — tours, day trips and airport transfers.
- RentalCars — car hire.
- Skyscanner — flight search and comparison.
- Travelpayouts — an affiliate network that connects us with several travel partners and helps attribute the bookings you make through our links.
We may add or change partners over time. Affiliate links are typically marked with rel="sponsored" and open in a new tab.
How commissions work
When you follow an affiliate link and complete a booking on the partner’s website, the partner records that the visit came from us and may pay us a percentage of the booking value or a fixed referral fee. The amount, if any, is set by the partner. You are never charged more because you used our link.
Our content stays editorial
Affiliate relationships do not buy a recommendation. We choose which hotels, tours, transfers and partners to feature based on what we think is genuinely useful for a trip to Kotor — the same advice we’d give a friend. We do not accept payment for positive coverage, and a commission never changes our opinion of a place. Where we have reservations, we say so.
Booking happens on the partner’s site
We are not a travel agent and we do not process bookings or payments. When you click through, you book directly with the third-party provider under their terms, pricing, cancellation rules, privacy policy and cookie policy. Please review those on the partner’s site. See our Terms for more.
Cookies and consent
The affiliate attribution script (Travelpayouts) loads only after you accept the “Booking link support” category (affiliate / marketing cookies) via our banner or the Cookie Preferences control in the footer. The affiliate links themselves work either way — declining only affects automated attribution. Details are in our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
